Beginning in 2014, the National Gallery’s collaboration with KETHEA Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals continues to the present day, offering a wide range of activities.
A painting workshop presented by the Head of the National Gallery Educational Programmes, Thanassis Spiliopoulos, is on offer at the KETHEA facilities. Under Spiliopoulos’s guidance, regular tours of the National Gallery and National Glyptotheque permanent collections are organised, as well as visits to other museums in Athens for the community’s members. Exhibitions and other visual arts projects by the workshop have taken place at the Onassis Cultural Centre in 2016 and 2017; the National Bank of Greece Historical Archive in 2016; and at KETHEA in 2017.
